Hotel Xcaret Arte is the second of the Xcaret brand's flagship resorts, sitting on the Riviera Maya just south of Playa del Carmen. The hook isn't just the resort itself — it's the All-Fun Inclusive model, which bundles in unlimited admission to the full Grupo Xcaret park collection (Xcaret, Xel-Há, Xplor, Xenses, Xavage, Xoximilco) plus transportation between them. For families or anyone planning to do the parks anyway, the math swings strongly in this property's favor.

The resort itself is themed around Mexican art and artisans — each of the seven 'casas' is dedicated to a different craft (music, dance, painting, sculpture). The build quality is high, the pools are dramatic (one is built around a cenote-like grotto), and the food program runs to ten restaurants without a buffet in sight. Workshops led by Mexican artisans run daily and are included with the stay.

It works for adults (the spa and adults-only pools are excellent) and families both, though the All-Fun Inclusive value tips strongest for travelers who'll actually use the park admissions. Two visits to Xcaret park alone can offset a meaningful share of the room rate.
